Introduction

This is a relatively simple install, requiring only minor drilling and assembly. The result is an incredibly sturdy, AMPS-compatible mounting plate for all of your valuable equipment.

Instructions

With Dash Tray

1. Remove dash tray and the rubber mat inside of it. You may need to use a pick or pry tool to remove. The rubber mat will not be reused. (Keep somewhere secure like your glove box incase you remove the dash tray down the road).

2. Use a a ratchet with a 7mm socket on an extension to remove the two 7mm bolts exposed by the removal of the rubber dash mat.

3. Noting the support brackets orientation, BuiltRight logo in the middle with the matching trimmed corner in the upper right, place the support bracket down into the dash tray and secure it using the two longer 7mm bolts/ washers provided with the kit. 

4. Before fully tightening the support plate, mock up the top plate on the support plate to ensure you have the lower bracket installed squarely and centered. Snug up the two 7mm fasteners once you are satisfied with the support plates placement.

5. Once the support bracket is installed, you're ready to mount the top plate. Using a 1/8" allen key, align the top plate and secure using the 4 provided flat top allen head bolts. 

Pro Tip - Start the 4 top plate bolts into the threads before fully tightening them all down together. The support bracket has some tight bend angles and minor flexing of the support plate tab might be necessary to get them all perfectly aligned before fully tightening them down.
