Installation

1. Prepare the 3/8 Channel Nut:

   • Place a piece of tape on one side of the 3/8 inch channel nut.
   • From underneath the vehicle, locate the bed light wiring harness and the factory tie-down loop.
   • Position the channel nut where you’ll insert the bolt from above, ensuring it lines up with the hole in the bed.

2. Adjust Trail Rail Alignment (if needed):

   • If you have the Mopar Trail Rail system, check if it is perfectly aligned with the bed.
   • Lift the panel into place and ensure the rubber bumper is firmly pressed against the bed to prevent rattling.
   • If misaligned, use a crescent wrench to slightly tweak the panel tab to make the bumper fit snugly.

3. Prep the Hardware at the Top of the Panel:

   • Use a 1/4-20 bolt with washer at the top of the panel.
   • Start threading the bolts loosely into place without fully tightening.

4. Install the Channel Nuts:

   • With the panel loosely mounted, position the channel nuts horizontally in the trail rail.
   • Slip the channel nut into the rail at a slight angle and rotate it to a 45-degree angle to lock it in place.
   • Ensure the channel nut is fully seated by checking its angle.

5. Align and Tighten the Panel:

   • Align the panel's large slot at the bottom with the channel nut installed earlier.
   • While tightening the top bolts, make sure the bottom channel nut remains properly aligned.
   • Tighten everything but leave some flexibility for small adjustments.

6. Install the Rubber Bumper:

   • Install the rubber bumper in one of the slots (typically the area nearest the wheel well) to ensure the panel is spaced away from the bed.
   • Secure the bumper with the small push clips.

7. Install the Lower Bolt:

   • Insert the spacer between the panel and the bed.
   • Push the lower bolt and washer through, ensuring the panel is pinned tightly at the bottom.
   • Snug the bolt but do not overtighten.

Final Steps:

• Ensure all bolts and hardware are secure but allow for small adjustments before final tightening.
• Check that the panel does not move or vibrate.
• Remove any tape used to hold the channel nuts in place.
• Verify that the rubber bumper is securely pressed against the bed and that no movement occurs when the panel is pushed.
