Tools
3/8" Ratchet with Extender
15mm Socket
4mm Allen Key (included)
3mm Allen Key (included)
Installation
-
Loosen the 15mm Bolt:
- Locate the 15mm bolt to the left of the tow hook (passenger side). Loosen (but do not remove) this bolt enough to slip the bracket onto it with the bracket angled upwards.
- Slide bracket on and adjust the bracket to the desired position (rotatable).
-
Adjust Magnet and Tighten the 15mm Bolt:
- Once the bracket is in place, adjust the magnet (if necessary) so that it securely attaches to the flat face of the bumper. Once adjusted, tighten the 15mm bolt. You can adjust the positioning later if needed.
-
Attach the Backing Plate:
- Position the backing plate on the bracket. It can be mounted higher, lower, or off to the sides depending on personal preference.
- Use the 4mm Allen key to secure the backing plate with screws.
-
Install the License Plate:
- Use longer bolts to mount the license plate onto the backing plate.
- Use the 3mm Allen key to fasten the license plate screws. Start all screws loosely before fully tightening them.
-
Make Final Adjustments:
- Before fully tightening, step back and ensure the license plate is straight and properly oriented.
- Tighten all screws once satisfied with the positioning.
-
Optional Adjustments:
- You can adjust the angle of the mounting bracket by loosening and repositioning it as needed.
- Alternatively, you can pre-assemble the kit off the vehicle but may need to reconfigure based on final preferences
